Description

Corn chowder
The recipe for this soup I found in the book "recipes in 30 minutes". It's hearty and warming dish that will appeal to any table. For cooking you can use canned or fresh corn, and frozen. Milk and cream give the soup a rich taste and aroma, and the bacon adds piquancy.

Ingredients

  • Corn

  • Cream

  • Milk

    500 мл

  • Black pepper

  • Butter

  • Vegetable oil

Onion cut into cubes. In a saucepan, heat the butter and sunflower oil. Fry the onions until soft.

Potatoes cut into small pieces.

With corn drain the fluid. According to the recipe it should mash. I did just that. But then it became clear to me that this can not be done.

When the onions become soft, add potatoes and corn, as well as 500 ml of boiling water (or vegetable broth). Cover with a lid and cook for 15 minutes - 20 (until cooked potatoes).

While cooking the soup, cut the bacon into small pieces and fry until Golden brown.

Once the potato is ready add into the pan the bacon, milk and cream. (milk and cream pre-heat well, but do not boil). Add salt and pepper to taste. Well warmed up, but again do not boil. All the soup is ready.

Pour on plates, sprinkle with greens and serve.
