Preheat the oven to 160 degrees. Brown sugar spread evenly on the bottom of the form. On it lay the butter cut in pieces. Put in the oven for 8 minutes.

Mix the dry ingredients for the cake: flour, sugar, salt, soda, baking powder, cinnamon, vanilla.
