Caraway sticks
Flavored bread sticks, flavored with caraway and Basil, with crunchy crystals of salt! A great addition to the first dish!

Ingredients

  • Flour

In warm milk dissolve the yeast and leave for 15 minutes.

In a bowl sift the flour and a pinch of salt. Add egg and 1 yolk, soft butter and milk with yeast. Begin to knead the dough. Spread on the table and knead the dough until smooth, soft about 5 minutes.

The dough becomes manageable, soft and supple. Roll the dough into a ball. Put in a bowl, cover with a cloth and leave for 1.5-2 hours to rise.

After 1.5 hours my dough has grown.

Pripasaem the table with flour. Roll out the dough into a thin layer, grease with remaining egg yolk. Generously sprinkle thyme, dried Basil, allspice and large sea salt. Rolled with a rolling pin the spices, pressing them into the dough.

Cut into strips and spread on a baking tray lined with parchment. The parchment I greased with vegetable oil, err. Put in a preheated 190 degree oven and bake the sticks until Golden brown (I baked 10 minutes). We take out the finished sticks, allow to cool.
